6. EVENT PARKING
6.1 What is an Event?
Events are classified as weddings, conferences, functions, concerts,
graduations, and entertainment.
All events must be directed through the Facilities Booking Officer on
8303 5151.
6.2 How to Arrange Parking Permits
Event parking must be arranged well in advance through the Facilities
Booking Office, ph 8303 5151. All details should be finalised seven working
days prior to the event to ensure information and permits are received.
**During semester/term times, parking on Campus may not be available
depending on the time of event and parking spaces required.
6.3 Charges / Cost
Three complimentary permits are available upon application and approval
via the Facilities Booking Officer. Additional permits can be applied
for however cannot be guaranteed. Temporary permits are charged at $5.00
per day.
**Note: A maximum of five permits available during weekday events.
6.4 Who approves Permits?
All Event parking is directed through the Facilities Booking Officer
who then liaises with the Facilities Coordinator. It is left to the discretion
of the Facilities Coordinator to approve.
6.5 What Time Frame Is Required Prior the Event?
All parking arrangements should be finalised within seven working days
of the event to ensure permits and information relating to parking is
communicated to the customer.
6.6 Conditions of Parking
The University of Adelaide advises that whilst any vehicle is parked
on campus pursuant to the University by-laws, neither the University
nor any of it’s authorised persons are liable for any theft, loss
or damage to any vehicle and/or it’s contents.

6.8 Blocking Off Areas
Once approved by the Facilities Coordinator and/or Facilities Booking
Officer, Security Services are informed of the area to block off.
Security ensures areas are blocked off the night before the event.
The hirer is responsible for all equipment used for blocking off parking
bays. Equipment not returned will be charged accordingly.
Charges may apply for the number of parking bays blocked off.
